NASSCO-Norfolk possesses a Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) and an Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) and is expert and fully certified at all types of complex, restricted, and technical availabilities (including dry dock availabilities and the integration of related repair efforts such as AIT's) on US Navy ships and craft of all classes, including aircraft carriers and submarines.

STRUCTURAL, FABRICATION, AND PIPE FITTING SERVICES

  • Certified ASME and MIL-STD welding and NDE/NDT
  • Gas, Arc, and/or Shear cut ferrous and nonferrous plates and shapes to any thickness

BLAST AND PAINT

Specialized in preservation of all types of prefabricated material of various coating systems. Capable of conducting shipboard preservation to include critical coated areas (underwater hulls, flight decks, well decks, tanks, etc.) including shipboard non-skid application.

LAGGING

Remove, replace, and reinstall insulation and lagging for piping systems including thermal, non-thermal, foam, fiberglass, brick and removable pad-type insulations, bulkhead and overhead systems including faced and un-faced, welded and glued stud-type insulations, ventilation systems including hard, soft and foam type insulations, boiler and turbine exhaust systems including brick, mud, fiberglass and resin coat type insulations.

Comprehensive staff of Engineers, Designers, and Technicians providing full service engineering and technical support for multiple ship class programs, and the advance planning and execution of ship availabilities.
